Northside General Hospital emergency department closed until further notice
NORTH SYDNEY, N.S. - Nova Scotia Health Authority wishes to advise the public that the emergency department at Northside General Hospital will remain closed until further notice.
The emergency department was scheduled to reopen on Thursday, Mar. 26, at 8 a.m. but will now remain closed. This closure is due to the need to direct physician and nursing resources to other health care needs.
Those experiencing a medical emergency should always call 911. For non-emergency health advice from a registered nurse, please call 811. The provincial Mental Health Crisis Line also operates 24/7 at 1-888-429-8167.
